The following Amateur Radio Technician Classes will be a 7 Day course given in the month of October. The Technician License is the beginners class or the first stepping stone to the two other higher license classes (General and Extra). This Technician course is open to anyone interested in obtaining a license. The course will cover the materials from the Fifth edition of the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual available @ https://home.arrl.org/action/Store/Product-Details/productId/2003373064 . (The manual is also available from Amazon, Ham Radio Outlet (www.hamradio.com), or your local bookstore) Students will be required to obtain this manual prior to attending the classes. Chapter 10 of this book indicates the Technician Class Syllabus which has an effective date of July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2026. The material covers Rules and Regulations, Ohms Law, Electrical Circuits, Operating Procedures, and essential Safety rules
All Classes are 2.5 Hours in length with a 10- 15 minute break.
There will be multiple instructors for different chapters of this course.
Anyone that feels lost can request additional help from one of the instructors.
Classroom size may be limited to a max of 30, so please register asap.

Driving Instructions
Entry is east of Cicero Ave on 159 street (south side of the street) – Stop Light with Gates entry.
The South Cook County EMA building is the tallest building on the campus. Once you drive to the Security Shack, the building is just slightly to the right of the Main drive. You will be able to see all the antennas on top of the building. It is an “H shape” building.
